Submission Guidelines

I. General Instructions

  • Long articles and short articles must be accompanied by an abstract of a minimum of 300 words.
  • Up to 3 authors are allowed for all categories of submissions.
  • All works must be original and unpublished, and must not be pending for review before any other journal. 
  • Any form of plagiarism will result in immediate disqualification for publication.
  • The Authors will be solely responsible for any dispute arising out of my/our manuscript including copyright, defamation, objectionable content or contempt and agree to suffer the loss, if any, caused by violating copyright or any other rights.
  • While it is advisable to adhere to the word limits of each category, the journal may be flexible on the word limit depending on the quality of the article.

II. Format

  1. The first page of the manuscript should contain the title of the paper, name of the authors and their institutional affiliation followed by a 300-word abstract
  2. The second page should commence with the main body of the manuscript.
  3. The main body of the manuscript should be in Times New Roman style, font size 12, with 1.5 line spacing and footnotes in Times New Roman Style, Size 10, with 1.0 line spacing. All headings must have uniform formatting.
  4. Texts and footnotes should conform to a uniform citation format. Eg: Bluebook 20th Edition or ILI Footnoting Style.

III. How To Submit?

1. Please submit your manuscript along with a cover letter to lawyersgyan@gmail.com with the subject line “Current Issue No. [x], Submission: [Title of Your Paper] by [Author Name].”

2. In case of any difficulty in filling the submission form, the authors can submit their manuscript via email lawyersgyan@gmail.com with a declaration to the following effect:

  • Declaration: “I/we declare that the manuscript is an original and previously unpublished work written by me/us. I/we would be solely responsible for any dispute arising out of my/our manuscript including copyright, defamation, objectionable content or contempt and agree to suffer the loss, if any, caused by violating copyright or any other rights.” 

Note: Upon submission, the manuscript shall be the property of LGJLMI. Henceforth, the articles accepted for publication shall not be cross-published/republished. Such cross-publishing/republishing shall require the prior consent of the author(s).

IV. Important Guidelines

1. The content should not have any unfounded/unproven allegations against anyone.
2. The content should not have any defamatory content.
3. The content should not accuse anyone based on newspaper reports.
4. There should be No Plagiarism. (The manuscript may be put through a plagiarism check and any sort of plagiarism would lead to disqualification)
5. The author(s) would be solely liable for all the liabilities arising out of any copyright or any other such infringement of any rights of any person.
6. The content should be exclusive to LGJLMI and the journal shall have all the authority to republish the work anywhere without the author(s)’s prior consent.
